Slow Mornings
Nowhere to be is always
the best place to be on
a slow Saturday morning
The birds still sleeping
and the sun peeking its
head through the branches
Weekends are time to
peddle softly into a
wide open field of grass
Unmade beds mirror
mussed morning hair
and rumpled sheets
I had to learn to take
it slow, so that I could
recharge my inner self
Because nothing can
take more from you
than the universe
But when you take
a slow morning, it
all comes back
