Nothing
A weekend can begin
and end at the same
time because it was
all a hand towel’s worth
of absolutely nothing
The difference between
stillness and ennui can
be so slight that not
even the crumbs on
the couch can detect
which is which anymore
No breeze, languid air
while clothes lay unwashed
and unaware that the
following week may just
be the weekend again
Sometimes you have to
fold in on yourself and
curl into a small ball
in an oversized blanket
and just sleep into it
