Tantamount

Your disdain is tantamount
to kicking dirt on my shoes
and untying my new laces
only to knot one of them
so I sit, for hours, with a
letter opener in my hand
trying to untie the knot

But my disdain is tantamount
to a horse-drawn carriage
running over your left foot
while you are wearing Crocs
and trying to balance a
cocktail umbrella on the tip
of your broken finger
